MTV Sports(tm): Skateboarding Featuring Andy Macdonald Review

Even if you can't skateboard in real life, you can with this game. You can do all the extreme tricks and moves with a little patience and practice. Starting at the bottom and working your way up through the ranks of skateboarders, you will eventually get to the ultimate challenge, the MTV Stadium. Some of the Pro-Skater characters include Andy Macdonald, Salvador Barbier, and Heidi Fitzgerald. With lots of options and plenty of things to try and practice on, this game will keep you intent for quite a while.

There are several different single modes such as High Score, MTV Hunt, Survival and Stunt Mode, of course these have the added challenge of being timed, so don't think this is a gravy game because it isn't. The multiplayer games are going to keep you and an opponent hoping to stay ahead of each other.

One of the added bonuses to this game is the music (would you expect anything less?). The music selection certainly offers plenty of listening entertainment. The controls are easy to figure out and there are plenty of tips and tricks in the instruction manual. The graphics and sound are fairly realistic. Andy Mac offers some words of wisdom in a timely introduction at the beginning of the instruction manual, which is a really nice touch. So, folks, grab a controller (at least until you can get out there in real life) and start skateboarding.
