Grab your mustard, ketchup and relish, fasten your seatbelts and get ready for some awesome fun! Woody Woodpecker racing combines good food, crazy characters and some really wild rides for one heck of a good game! Not only do you have to race against Chilly Willy, Wally Walrus and others (plus three surprise characters that you unlock as you play through the quest mode), you've got to be able to fight back as they attack you with various weapons. 

With plenty of weapons and power-ups, you are going to have to keep on your toes and think fast just to finish the race, let alone win! Some of the weapons include a tomato, a homing pigeon and a bow and sparrow(??). You have a choice of the type of vehicle you want and those are Stock cars, race karts, and ATV's and old junkers. The junker car option is pretty much a glorified demolition derby mode and a good way to take out some frustration! The tracks match the vehicle and there are 4 maps with each driving area.  It also has 4 surprise maps that you can unlock as you get through levels of the Quest and Championship modes.

The instructions could use just a tad bit more info but other than that, they are good. The graphics and sounds are very well done, just like watching a cartoon. For race fans and cartoon aficionados, this is a game that's certainly sure to give satisfaction. It's amusing, challenging, and tons of fun even for those of the younger generation who don't remember that lovable woodpecker and his infectious laugh.
